My Third Piece: Marcs Mademoiselle Sweater

This jumper (or sweater or knit, whatever!) ticked all the boxes for me on my imaginary list of 'Things Items Must Have To Be Granted A Place In The 5 Piece French Wardrobe'.

1. It was something I'd been dying for i.e. I wanted a quirky but chic jumper after falling in love with everything Markus Lupfer does (but being too scared to commit).

2. It was good quality material. The sweater is a silk, cashmere and cotton blend which are all long lasting and lovely.

3. It was in a basic colour scheme. As it's my first year of doing the 5 Piece French Wardrobe, I was reluctant to go crazy on the introduced pieces (which I most certainly would have) and wanted to make sure I could continue to wear them over the years. Also, I had a pretty low stock of good quality basics and I figured this was my each way bet without forking out a fortune (that mean's spending lots of money in Australian)!

The Mademoiselle Knit is a bargain and perfect for anyone wanting a trans-seasonal jumper. Also it feels like I imagine Beyonce's hair feels.

Looks are on their way!

  1. That is a really cute jumper! I think you're right that it's something fairly classic that you will get a lot of wear out of over the years :)

Hope you are enjoying the 5 piece wardrobe challenge! I've seen it around a few places but I'm not sure I'm up to giving it a go yet, too much of an impulse shopper. Although really that's why I should do it, ha!

    1. I won't lie, it has been hard! Hahaha I get so tempted but then I feel gratified that I didn't give in to temptation. You should definitely give it a go if you're an impulse shopper!
I spent a few months skimming down my wardrobe because I wanted less but you could just not cull at all and challenge yourself to making as many outfits as you can with what you've got!
      xx
