Shoe Review: Windsor Smith, Chunk

I was recently blessed (I bought) with this amazing pair of shoes from Windsor Smith. I'm always looking for a pair of shoes that adds height and are comfortable enough to walk in all day. Bingo, these are the shoes for me! I'm head over heels (ha ha ha) for their great sole and cute tassels, minus a couple initial blisters (your mother was right to make you wear in your new school shoes!) they are now my go-to shoe. Buying better quality shoes really is a must, it's been a hard, long lesson for me, but it seems to be sinking in. The gorgeous leather still isn't marked or scuffed after 3 weeks of near constant wear, and they're white too! A favourite amongst bloggers, I saw them gracing the feet of many stylish girls at MBFW Australia 2013. I'm considering buying them in black too because they go with everything... But I do not regret my white purchase, I think it's a refreshing change from black. All shoes look good in black anyway.... but white equals instant chic! They are my third pair of Windsor Smith shoes and I daresay I will be going back for more...Soon... *evil laugh*
Fall in love and buy them yourself here.

UPDATE:
For those of you who have purchased a pair of these beauties, you've probably figured out that they get dirty... and it's obvious. After a reader asked me how to clean them I decided to stop ignoring the stains (and envying anyone I saw with the black version) and have a go at scrubbing them.
Now, water and soap did not cut it, so save yourself some time and grab some non-gel toothpaste. It's perfect for cleaning white shoes (because it's white, I don't recommend trying blue or green toothpaste). I just dabbed a bit on and scrubbed with a sponge, it took a lot of the brown stains out on the squishy sole part and made the white upper straps shine (bright like a diamond). BUT I couldn't get some of the tougher, deeper stains like grass stains (yep I roll around in the grass) and the parts on the back of the heel where I hit the stairs (yep I'm clumsy). If anyone finds a way to get these out please let me know in the comments below and together we will all have super clean Chunks!

  1. I liked that shoe. Generally I don't prefer white ones because they get dirty faster and then we have to wash off the dirt every now and then which makes the shoe easier to wear out.

    1. I agree... Long term wear, white shoes can't stand a chance againt black but I am on the biggest white shoe craze lately! Winter is coming here in Australia though so I'll have to invest in some nice DARK coloured shoes :)

    1. Hi Sandy, really well actually! There's no cracks or bits coming off, but they are a little dirty (my fault obviously ha ha) They're a really sturdy shoe. You should get yourself a pair before they're all gone ;)

    1. Not really, the ankle strap gets a bit loose as time goes by but I just move it to the next hole.
The first strap is VERY comfy. Not too high at all!

    1. How annoying! Some of my friends have the same problem actually. You could always try looking in the USA? You might get better results online. Good luck!

  5. I bought this brand of shoe myself today but in the white sandals. I have wore them once and they are stained already . Its really frustrating spending $90 . I havent been out In dirt or mud or anything like that just the shopping center. They are quite quality shoes just so easily stained. Mind you I get these stains of my shoes ? Any ideas on how to remove them because soapy water doesn't cut it. :(

    1. Well I have a confession to make... I was ignoring the dirt on mine and was just going to leave it ha ha ha but you've inspired me! I'll try to clean it tonight with toothpaste (non gel variety) and water. It's worked on white shoes for me in the past. I'll let you know how it goes!

  6. I'm thinking of buying them and I'm between a 5.5 to a 6 in shoe size. Would you say it's true to size?

    1. Hi Sarah

      I would say a little smaller. I'm usually a 7.5-8 and got an 8 and they're perfect!
