Shirt: Givenchy/ With Love Kirsten Boutique, Skirt: Vintage, Heels: Target

Another amazing buy from With Love Kirsten Boutique! See my previous posts for the gushing. I love this Givenchy style shirt, I first saw it on Tuula's blog and thought "Now that's a killer shirt!"
It's much edgier than my usual style but it's chic and there's nothing like a change.
Once again, a leather skirt is a great staple in any wardrobe!
If anyone would like to follow me on Instagram or Facebook I will give you (virtual) cuddles! The links are on the top and side bars.
Merry Christmas All! Wishing you safe and happy holidays!

YSL Inspired shirt: With Love Kirsten Boutique, Leather skirt: Ally, Lace Ankle Boots: Target, Rose Gold Watch and Bracelets and Earrings, Ebay

The sunny skies disappeared as soon as the camera came out but a little bit of rain never hurt such a fantastic shirt! I've mentioned With Love Kirsten Boutique in a previous post and here is the debut of one (of many) peices I've picked up from this fantastic site. It's bang on trend and you can get designer inspired peices for a fraction of the price. They're such a lovely team of people too, you can genuinely tell they love what they do.
The leather skirt was in a sneak peek a while ago, and this is far from the first time I've worn it. I'm already a fan of the colour blue but leather, well, it's such a fun way to jazz up a t-shirt! While we're on the topic of 'jazzing', the earrings I'm wearing are 10% glam and 90% Liza Minnelli! It's so hard to not love something so glitzy, every girl should have the chance to feel like a celebrity! I also feel a bit like a Christmas tree while wearing them but it is the season after all!
Hope everyone's had a fantastic weekend and has their Christmas shopping all done!

Tropical Inspiration

It's the last month of such a big year! I feel like this year only just started and yet we're somehow nearing the end. Busy doesn't even begin to describe how it's been at work but I just thought I would quickly share some things that are making me smile and look forward to an Australian summer that has been sorely missed. I'm absolutely loving tropical prints as you will see...

Casual Sunday

Jumper: Vintage, Skirt: Vintage, Boots: Ebay

Here's a couple happy (yes, this is my happy face ha ha ha) snaps we took on an overcast Sunday. Sunday is always such a bittersweet day; you're never expected to get out of your pyjamas but you know work is starting again the next day. I really wanted to show off my new earrings. This is just one pair of the magpies haul I've been collecting for the last couple weeks! I am so in love (obsessed even) with the glam, paste jewellery trend. It adds some fun to a casual outfit and it's always great to play dress up. Expect to see many more Elizabeth Taylor inspired jewellery in the coming weeks!
I always get lots of compliments on the striped jumper. It is great material that hangs perfectly (depsite being an overszied shirt not a jumper ha ha ha) and the colours are very flattering, especially since you can't go wrong with a breton stripe.
Now for the skirt, yes, it's love. I picked this up in the UK and it's true and perfect vintage, and once again is a style that's come around again. Scalloping is back and this suede skirt is one of my favourite colours and it's very flattering (hello waist!) My only worry in the world while wearing this skirt is should one side somehow get caught, the snap buttons down the front would give way and leave me very embarrassed. But it's something I'm willing to risk!
And yes, those boots again. They're just too good not to wear!

Matching Prints

Blazer and Skirt:Vintage, Shirt:Princess Polly, Boots:Ebay

I've been dying to do a post with this matching suit before I even had a blog! It's so fantastic, the print is subtle but together it's got some serious flair (I think!) However, it was originally a maxi skirt, can you imagine that with the blazer (yikes)? I could see a future where it looked amazing though. I decided to have a go at altering a pleated skirt myself and it turned out to be pretty simple with hand sewing. I love that the blazer is almost the same length as the skirt, I think that's such a chic look! Anyone can wear matching prints! It's so simple to pull off and age is no barrier! The collared shirt is one of my wardrobe staples from Princess Polly. Clean, simple and the collar detail adds some Texan flavour!
Also, some of you may have noticed I finally cut my hair (emphasis on the finally)! It was sad to see the ombre go but it was necessary. I also got a Keritan treatment and woah! My hair feels like silk, it was exactly what it needed after being neglected for 2 years. I can definately recommend it!

High Tea

Floral Pants: ICE; Shirt: Vintage; Denim Jacket: Vintage Levis; Boots: Ebay

This weekend my mum, my sister and I enjoyed a spot of high tea at Camellia Gardens. Needless to say, it was lovely, even the rainy weather couldn't spoil the beauty of the gardens, or stop us taking a couple snaps! I should apologise now for the very un-model type faces, my mother can be very distracting and cheeky when she's excited (more on that another time...)
I've been loving floral pants lately, they're fantastic for the changing weather we've been having here in Australia. The colours are bright without being over the top, and almost every single one of my shirts goes with them; that's a win in my book! These boots are my latest shoe love (and naturally the newest in my wardrobe), I bought them off Ebay and they are so comfortable! The heel is sturdy, the sole has a good grip and quite frankly, chelsea boots rock. I love how they look in any colour, they're chic and can be dressy or casual; another win! My denim jacket is an old staple I've had in my wardrobe long before denim was considered trendy, but it just goes to show, styles come back around. So never throw anything away! (Kidding, of course)

Orchid Love

Dress: Ebay, Skirt: Harry Who?, Watch: Ebay

I took a few quick snaps in my lunch break to welcome the beautiful spring weather. Orchids are my favourite flower, and I'd seen this dress floating around on Lookbook so when I found it on Ebay I snapped it up right away! I'm a total sucker for mirror print (in case you hadn't noticed). It brings back childhood memories of painting on paper then folding it in half to make a pretty (usually a butterfly) picture, did everyone else used to do this as well?! The shift style is so flattering and the colours are to die for (pictures do not do it justice). My only complaint is that it is very short, and I am not even a tall girl. Luckily, I've been wanting to try the long shirt/short skirt style many girls favour, so I added (one of) my leather skirts. I guess it worked perfectly since all day people kept complimenting me on my 'dress'!

Sometimes when I'm working hard I find I go into "Fashion Panic". It sounds ridiculous, but I start feeling like I'm missing all these amazing trends, outfits or shopping opportunities all of a sudden. A good dose of LookBook browsing, a Tumblr trawl or a update usually calms me down. Of course this starts the ideas forming in my mind about what I will wear next, so I thought I'd start sharing some of my inspiration. Because who doesn't love pretty outfits and seeing the girls that are doing it right!

Welcome to my Wardrobe

Here is a little sneak peek at some of the new additions to my wardrobe. I went on a very belated birthday shopping spree while I was in Brisbane and picked up lots of goodies! The rose gold and white watch is my new favourite item of jewellery by far. After I got home I noticed they were all 'bottoms', another shopping spree for tops is needed I think!
